Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan khan to voice over for Disney’s ‘The Lion King’
Shah Rukh Khan recently posted a photo of him and his son Aryan on Instagram, in support of the Indian men’s cricket team with a caption saying, “Ready for the match with the spirit of #FathersDay. Go India Go!!” The post was for both India and Father’s Day bonding with his son but what’s more interesting was their t-shirts which bore the names ‘Simba’ and ‘Mufasa’ on them.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has since confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan khan will voice Mufasa and Simba respectively. Shah Rukh said, “Voicing the father-son duo of Mufasa and Simba has been such a wonderful personal and professional moment for Aryan and me. It will be really special to watch this movie with our little one, AbRam (Shah Rukh’s youngest son), as he is a big fan of the film. And watching his big brother and father voice the characters in this live-action version is surely going to make it a memorable experience.”
The Lion King is a live action film that revolves around Simba who idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother — and former heir to the throne — has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. Now, with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. This is a remake of the original version which released in 1994.
